Deodorant Stick

This is the one thing I (Richelle) swore I would NEVER make. Why? Because every stick formulation I tried was awful. I have heard all the horror stories from customers: Ruined clothes because the natural stick was too heavy in coconut oil ; outrageous doctor’s bills to clear up the underarm burns due to baking soda in the DIY formulations. I even made a couple of clay concoctions that looked like I scraped it up off a construction site. So, I scrapped everything floating around the internet and started with what I knew from a chemist’s standpoint. The zinc oxide, as well as being soothing and healing works as an antibacterial by disrupting the cell wall of the organism…it is also anti fungal. The beeswax gives integrity to the stick, acts as an antiperspirant and is also a natural anti bacterial/anti-fungal. Vegetable starches absorb moisture and prevent chafing. But does it work? YES!! Every one in the family has been testing this out from schoolteacher to electrician to real estate agent to soapmaker. It lasts all day…no stinky armpits. None. I am thrilled beyond imagining to be able to share this with all of you and I welcome your reviews.
